Just picked up this model from the post office....ordered it late evening of 9/5; delivered to Chicago 9/12 from TianJen(?), China. Package was secure, and the styrofoam packing held the model tightly. The heft is similar to Gancorp's F-15, and the overall quality appears very good. Have to leave it to the experts as to whether it's "to spec" to the real thing. Interesting note, the package had the "cartoon" illustrations of a SU-27, showing handling warnings/ instructions, similar to the other Chinese Gaincorp models I got from another dealer, but the metal stand was imprinted "China Aviation Industry Corporation". Would recommend this to others looking for a "niche" model not available elsewhere.

I am still hunting down for this one at the local level, online will be a last measure.
It's a big figher/bomber, so although not as big as a MiG-25 or 31, it's still rather gigantic, somewhere it was stated that the model measured around 30 cm X 15 cm (I could be wrong). Yet, comparison pictures with some familiar birds would be very very welcome.

I know, I saw those pictures too and it's a really sweet model from Gaincorp! Well, the prices that Chinese collectors are talking about is around 300 to 380 RMB per model, no shipping included; in any case, that's about half what Mr. legendmodel is asking for. If I am lucky, I may find this model in Hong Kong's retail shops at not more than the original RMB prices some time within a few months...if not lucky, may never see it at all. Going into Guangzhou's infamous toy/model street may be the alternative, ebay the very last resort.

Yes, sorry Louie, I was very busy with my work and then days passed and actually, in my free time I went all over the obscure shops in Hong Kong hunting for this piece but had no luck, so...I am exactly where you are.
Oh, and frog, WE, the collectors demand pictures of your model, lucky guy!!!

Oh well, time to shuck out the bucks for a unique plane. It looks big and i like big moderns. I understand about time. I have to steal it often putting priorities aside to satisfy this addiction of mine. thanks for getting back to me sir.

"China Aviation Industry Corporation" is the manufacturer of the real Feibao fighter-bomber, so this model is probably comissioned by AVIC and then licensed (or not) for retail. The model was probably made according to technical data of the real aircraft, so it should be pretty darn accurate, Gaincorp sometimes make a lousy job, like with the 1/72 Xiaolong, it was so wrong, yet the only diecast of that airframe, yet I passed on that. The J-10 is barely acceptably accurate, but I gave it a chance.
Would you kindly share photos of your model with us? I am still looking for it outside "Chinalegend".
