Su-27UBK gear up conversion

Yes, I butchered another one. They just look so much better in flight.

Nice! Maybe try it with a Witty Flanker stand too?

That's looks good Fred. Mind taking shots of the undercarriage to show us the results of the butchery?

The nozzles, on the UBK are too tapered to use a Witty stand. You can, however, use a Witty stand with Gaincorp's single seat Su-27.

I've got a "slide show" in the Customize and Repair section.

Horribly. Lot's of carving, cutting, filing and sanding were required to get them to fit. And lots of gaps that need to be filled with putty too.

The Witty stand will fit the -33 but I haven't tried it with the -34. Word of caution, however. The nozzles, in Witty's Flankers, extend much deeper into the fuselage than Gaincorp's do. Also, Witty uses gobs and gobs of rock solid hot glue to secure the nozzles within the fuselage. The Gaincorp nozzles don't extend very far into the the fuselage and they are secured with CA (superglue). If you use a Witty Flanker stand with a Gaincorp Flanker, test to make sure your nozzles are securely glued in place. Otherwise, your bird could fall off the stand if the superglue bond breaks loose.
