SU Variants

There are so many variants of SU 27 that they all look the same to me . What are the differences ? And what is the difference betweem the SU 27 twin seater from Gaincorp and the SU 30MK; SU 33 and the SU 35 ? Some with canards and some without ? Is there A SU 27SKM ?( attached last file courtesy of aliners.net ) .
Now i confused !!

Re: SU Variants

Way, way, WAY too much to possibly be covered here. It takes a book. Main things to check for are height/size of the tailfins, if it has canards, 1 or 2 seats, landing gear, shape of the nosecone, and shape of the tailcone. If you really want to know, start here: Sukhoi T-10S / Su-27 Flanker (a bit old now, but still the best reference there is AFAIK) Su-30MKA and Su-30MKV are missing because they're so new.

Also, Gaincorp missed most of the differences anyways.

Thanks for the link, David! This lovely little bird happens to be my all-time favorite jet.

Re: SU 27 Variants

Su-27 Flanker;
Su-30 (improved Su-27);
Su-32/34 (air to ground bomber version with canards and large cockpit incl. toilet and bed );
Su-33 (Navy carrier Su-27 version with canards);
Su-35 (improved Su-30 with canards);
Su-37 (improved Su-35, not available for export; only for Russia and China, like the F-22 for USA).

My favourite Sukhoi plane is the Su-37 (yellow/brown sheme) and second best the Su-30 MKI (white/blue sheme)

I agree with you Sukhoi.The Su 37 in both the yello/brown and the white/blue is a real beauty.
