Re: Photos of new Gaincorp SU47 Berkut!

Hi trex0770, if i got nearly 500 model like u, i'll know that's why u sold it.... anyways, maybe u'll regret because sold Gaincorp F22.

I've just know that Su47 use the decals, have bit disappointed.

Win, I don't know if I'll regret giving away the F-22 because a long time ago I posted pictures of the one I had and alot of forum members were in agreement that it was a dog. The gaps in the and overall finish of the model were poor even compared to some Franklin Mint stuff. Maybe in a year or two Gaincorp will have upped their game (I think Witty has with some of their jets) and then I might reconsider.

It's such a mess in my storage room that I keep finding things I didn't even know I had....Yikes. The upside is it's like Christmas every time I go in there!!

Re: Photos of new Gaincorp SU47 Berkut!

when I read "photos of new gaincorp..." I almost fell off the couch, thinking it was the PLAAF Su-27UBK...and then clicked in and saw the Berkut.
Jeez, this thing was released years ago!

Yes, it comes now with a stand and in a different packaging, but it is exactly the same model, landing gear wrongly moulded (uncompressed, as inflight, imagine mine is the old release w/o stand), all details decaled, NOTHING printed (unlike Gaincorps other releases, on which some or most details are printed), a very thick nose probe, deep and wide panel lines.
It seems from my comments that the model deserves to to be moved directly into the garbage bin, but mine is still on display as we speak, and I am also waiting for somebody else to come up with another version of it.
I would pick the box marked "world aircraft collection", with a window and no stand. I observed that the package with stand is usually more expensive, I like to put the models on the ground when they have their landing gear fixed in the down position, so I don't need the stand for this model.
