Re: A new SU-27 2-seater coming

How about some more 34s while they're at it?!?!?

This model certainly opens up the possibilities for an Indian Airforce Su-30 MKI export version down the road, and I hope Gaincorp will release one in the future. It should be easy to add the "canards" for that specific variant, and I know some 'expert' will come along and say it: "It's gonna take more than the canards additon to, blah blah blah..."

Are these Su-34s, or Su-30MKK/MKI/MKMs?
There are multiple references to the Su-34 looking like this:

Sukhoi Su-32/Su-34 Fullback

No problem, dude! There's been so many variants and designations for the Flanker family that it's hard to keep them straight...

Re: A new SU-27 2-seater coming

Hello All

I was told today a new 500 piece run was to be released. It will be a Chinese 2-seat model. 1/72 scale
It will have a MSRP of $59.99
Should have a pic soon I was told...

Thanks
Glen

Hmmm.... did Gaincorp happen to say how many runs of 500 it would ship into the U.S.? They did this with their previous issues, many times -- though I don't think any of them were technically limited. Makes me gunshy as to buying into the limited hype though Regardless, good to hear some GC noise!

PappyB, I hope you don't mind? I would kill for this livery for an Su-27 Flanker variant!

Re: A new SU-27 2-seater coming

Glad to see they've reworked the radome and have made the IRST a more prominent feature.

May just have to perform a conversion on one of these babies. Great...yet another project to start. Still haven't painted my Witty Su-37 conversion from last year.

Oh yes good catch, skido! That sure is a marked improvement. Be sure to post your Chinese Su-27 UB flanker on here too, okay?

Btw, that Su-37 looks pretty spiffy!

Re: A new SU-27 2-seater coming

I just got rid of my Su-33 and Su-47 on Ebay because they were so clunky (among other issues). These planes are listed at $99/ea. at Aikens. I just don't see how they're worth that (when I could get a highly detailed GMP) except that nobody else really makes them except Witty and once other manufacturers do the price will plummet.

I'm still hoping that someone else will make these (hint, hint HM). I'm still not convinced enough to get the new Su-27 two-seater, it looks nice in the pictures but I wasn't really impressed with my other Gaincorps.

Oh yeah, I also gave away the F-22 Raptor I had b/c of fit & finish issues.

Mark me down as still skeptical!
