Check out: http://www.diecastace.com and look for the review of the Gaincorp F-15 Gorilla.. The review is a little rough on this F-15 version shall we say.. This looks like a pretty good site for different reviews of diecasts. You might want to bookmark it. Nockers ole' chap..

Re: Gaincorp F-15 is it any good

Yeah, I was a mite hard on that one perhaps -- a couple of the more knowledgable modern experts on the forum do praise Gaincorp's Eagle for being the most accurate in 1:72... For my $ though, I'll take Witty as it's a much better model, and the inaccuracies are mostly lost on me. (Then I'd take Dragon.) When it comes to modern stuff, I'm more interested in well- made representations of the aircraft in question, rather than a nuts and bolts accurate version, with model quality second... if that makes sense.

For the sale price on the Mule right now I'd knock it up a point -- I paid $50 for mine a couple years ago...

(Thanks for the plug!)

Re: Gaincorp F-15 is it any good

IMHO the Gaincorp's fit/appearance is low enough that it over-rides the accuracy (I'm normally an accuracy guy). Overall all the F-15's in 1/72 are pretty similar, unlike say the F-14's which are very different. I'd rank them:

Witty
Dragon
Gaincorp
