has Gaincorp dropped the export market?

I have noticed that since the release of the Su-47, Gaincorp has kept all their subsequent (or maybe earlier?) releases for the China market.
They have not issued anything new for a long while (as 1/72 airplanes is concerned). I see they have not dropped making them altogether at least (J-10...) but they just seem to have given up on exporting them out!! Anybody know what may be going on?

Re: has Gaincorp dropped the export market?

Got me on that one, b-huj – but I have noticed they’re becoming scarce on eBay. And TFM is offering only 5 (count ‘em – five) Gaincorp models. Martin once offered -- what was it? – 10 or more (or something like that).

Don’t know if this portends the demise of Gaincorp as we knew it, but it sure doesn’t look encouraging.

Either way, I’m not sellin’ my Gaincorp Sukhoi models – not for nuttin’!!!

I for one hope this is not a harbinger of things to come. I am still hoping that whatever models they have in the pipeline
we'll be able to see these imported here in the states. I may not wait any longer to purchase a J-10 as this thing is subliminaly twisting my arm or brain (whichever you wanna look at it)...

Exclamation A friendly advice FlyXwire :

Keep clear of the 1/72 J-10, it may be GC worst model to date !

On the other hand, I haven't received my 1/48 J-10 yet, but considering the quality of GC 1/48 stuff, it shouldn't be disappointing...

Planenuts frog, I am very interested in your review of the 1/48 J-10 when you receive it. Please let us know what you think of it.

As for the overall thread subject, I am very disappointed that Gaincorp has not released more models in the US or Europe. I really like their Flankers and F-15s, and the Su-47 (F-22 was OK except to the gear/nose up problem which I fixed myself). I wish they had continued where they left off.

I appreciate the warning, buddy, thanks! I prefer the 1/48 model myself.

How did u fix the nose/main gear problem with the F-22? I am a bit compelled to do it but not sure what can be done and how.

I broke the nose gear off (that wasn't too hard, by just twisting it back and forth a few times laterally), then sawed off just a little bit of it at the top and super-glued it back on. Looks like the real thing now. I just couldn't stand looking at it with the original stance.
