Re: 1/48 Plaaf J-10

OK, yes, now I've seen one on e-bay in 1/48. It is gear down and looks pretty good, but the seller is in China, and postage is hefty. Not sure I want to get it just yet...

But the J-10 is something I'll want in my collection for sure at some point. A perfect symbol of growing Chinese airpower. Plus it looks way cooler than the FC-1.

So we may need the F22 after all, well just in case eh.

God Bless America.

Great! Any detail in the air intake? If not, how deep is the intake? Any glaring gaps or join lines?

Dude, wish I could help. I have been lurking around the shops in Hong Kong and no word whatsoever about these newer Gaincorps.
The shopkeepers get irritated at my questioning about models they cannot get!

I have seen the FC1 around here and it's a nice model, 1/48, scale being the only reason I haven't got it.
No 1/72 FC1, J10 (neither scale) in my radar... sorry, and I am quite pissed-off at this embarrassing situation!

Cool Well Elmer,

the join lines are ok for ME, as is the (not very deep) intake...

But you need to have a look by yourself.

I am currently taking "argentic" pictures of my collection. When numerised, they could be displayed on the forum...

I just received the FC-1. Join lines are OK for me too. I wish the intake were deeper or had some turbine/compressor detail, but acceptable.

When you compare the two models, which do you like best and why? How do the join lines and intakes compare or contrast with each other?
