Should Gaincorp continue doing more Russian warplanes?

I know I'm living in a fantasy world, but wouldn't it be nice if Gaincorp continued to produce more Russian "Cold War" combat aircraft of notable types?
I would love to see the following made:

Su-22 Fitters (I would like a Libyan scheme especialy the ones shot down by the "Black Aces" F-14s)
Su-24 Fencers

Mig-23/27 (again, some Libyan schemes shot down by the F-14s in the 1989 incident)

What do you guys think?

Thumbs up Re: Should Gaincorp continue doing more Russian warplanes?

I have to respond with a resounding yes. I'm a big fan of FSU aircraft. Here's a list of platforms I'd llike to see that have not yet been produced:

MiG-19
MiG-23/27
MiG-25
MiG-31
Su-22
Su-24
Su-25
Su-30
F-7 (Chineses MiG-21 Upgrade)
F-10 (Model already available on EBay in China, but not as refined as their US exports)
F-8 I/II (Chinese EP-3 incident)
FB-7 Flounder

I'd be happy to see these from either Gaincorp or Witty. I'd also like to see 1/72 surface-to-air missile models such as:

SA-2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 11, 15, 10/20, ZSU-23-4

I've already got 3 Gaincorp Flankers (Su-27, 33, 34) and one from Witty. I think it's a tough call as to who is better.

Re: Should Gaincorp continue doing more Russian warplanes?

Absolutely! We need a lot more Russian aircraft. They look cool and are historically very important, for the most part.

My preferences in order would be: MiG-23/27, MiG-25, MiG-31, Su-17/22, Su-25, Su-24, MiG-19.

The chinese stuff would be great as well.

I forgot to add the Su-25 "Frogfoot" - gotta have that one to sit next to my A-10.

Yes. And stop designing more Chinese birds. But maybe they sell well in China but i doubt they are the first choice of worldwide collectors.

Yes, everyone (including me) keeps forgetting about the Su-15 Flagon, and that was kind of a cool looking airplane. I sure would buy a diescast model of one. Thanks for the reminder, planenutsfrog.

Stop? they only started!
the F-7 and F-8 II that someone up there was asking for ARE PLAAF designs that would probably make a very nice addition to any Cold War collection.

My guess is that they stick to Soviet era stuff that is already available in plastic kit form (from which they take more than just an idea). Their first realease that hit the market (Su-34) was a straight out of the box copy of the TAMIYA kit, same whith their F-22 I think. Their Su-33 shows the same mistakes as the TAMIYA mould for instance. I am not so sure where they got their S-37 (Su-47) from, maybe someone else could pitch in some guesses?

Their Chinese airframes would be their only originals (I could be wrong), therefore the apparent lack of details compared to their earlier Russian models.

Re: Should Gaincorp continue doing more Russian warplanes?

I got there SU-47, what a way cool looking plane it is. I liked it so much I went ahead and ordered two other SU-33 and 34 I think, at $40.00 each a pretty good deal too.
