Re: GC7003 Chengdu FC-1 Xiaolong "Fierce Dragon"

and the pilot figures ARE 1/72 (or exactly the same Gaincorp uses on its 1/72 models, never bothered to change on the 1/48 xiaolong model I've come across several times)

Yeah, now that you mention it I went back to look at the pictures and the pilot does look way too small in comparison to the aircraft. I know pictures can be deceiving, but it seems pretty obvious here (in retrospect).

That pilot figure isn't half bad.

No, it's just half-size (well, 1/72 vs 1/48 as it should be).

Re: GC7003 Chengdu FC-1 Xiaolong "Fierce Dragon"

I saw the model again and mhackl only followed the (wrong) information provided by the manufacturer...
I saw this bar code with some description after the mathematic phrase "1/72" !!!

But we're right here, it is 1/48. Damn those guys at Gaincorp for not even knowing what scale their own model is!!!

Yeah, that's almost funny; but really, a lot of buyers may have been, or could be, misled by this "minor" error...

Apparently, the pilot is 1/72, though (can't tell for sure from the pictures).

Was in a shop with that particular model and 1/72 Su-34s also from Gaincorp, I compared the pilots and only the colour of their suits are different (green on the Sukhoi, blue on the Xiaolong)

Now I finally understand why Lorraine always refers to Jim as "Xiao Dinky"

It looks like the control surfaces are hinged and positionable. Can anyone confirm this? From Mark's great pictures, the detail looks very, very nice.

I purchased the 7005 and it's control surfaces are hinged. I would assume the this one is the same.
