1/48 PLAAF FTC-2000 (JL-9) Fighter / Trainer

I'm not sure it's by Gaincorp, but this bastard child of MiG-21 and BAE hawk certainly does have its charms:

It is a Gaincorp, good eyes you have Sergey...and it does look like a mix between BAE Hawk and MiG-21...look at all the rivets! it reminds me of their 1/48 Xiaolong.

The packaging you see on ebay is typical of their locally marketed models, sometimes obscure themes as this one. They also market the Berkut and the Flanker in the same type of packaging with that ugly stand (and no gears up option of course!).

Thumbs up Great !

I have really enjoyed their J-17/FC-1, and was longing after more 1/48 GC exotic jets

I noticed this on the same page, it's diecast too.

Is it also gaincorp?

Re: 1/48 PLAAF FTC-2000 (JL-9) Fighter / Trainer

I've noticed that the seller who was selling 1/48 PLAAF FTC-2000 (JL-9) had also neat Chinese Armor like Type 90 tanks and MLRS for sale as well, albeit at way up there prices and in 1:43 scale, which seemed odd to me.

Sergey

Just purchased the JL-9

together with these two :1-48-plaaf-ftc-2000-jl-9-fighter-trainer-5468_1_sbol.jpg

Both are Gaincorp too, but the trainer is 1/43 instead of 1/48.

My PRC Z-9 helicopter just arrived. It looks great, but seemed quite large for 1/48, so I measured it and it scales out at exactly 1/40. Can't really find any faults with the model itself, but would have been nice if its scale had been accurately represented.
