coldupnorth - Yes - there was at least one (and I'm sure several if you were to somehow be able to access Lockheed archives) that a friend had sent to me several years ago; I thought I still had it on my computer, but after performing a search, I can't seem to find it - it may very well have gotten deleted somehow. But, it did exist - albiet briefly. That also brings me to another point about Armour/FM in general. I really do think that very little is done in the way of "research" on the backgrounds of the real planes that these models are intended to depict. I strongly suspect that often they'll simply come up with a photo or two and say "Hey - see that? We'll make a model of that...!!" - without doing any further background on the validity or "exactness" of a particular plane - which would also help, at least in part, to explain why so many of their models are historically IN-correct...!! - JY

Phantom Phan1200 - This is because you're "over here" - and this particular plane was made specifically for the British market. "Over there", they're much more plentiful. I've discovered many times (with the exception of the Australian B11B584 CA-27/Mk32 "Black Panther" (F-86 type) Sabre) that once you take your search to the area in which a specific model was originally intended to go, you'll generally have better luck - and generally cheaper, as well - the cost of shipping it back to the US not withstanding, of course... As an example - for quite a long period of time, I looked in vain for the Armour Canadair CL-13B Sabre - the German one from JG-71, I believe. Once I started looking "over there" (and with the help of Ranjet, of course...), I started finding them "left and right"!! Including a few dealers who, after several years' time - STILL had a few of them on their shelves!! So maybe that'll help you in further searches and not have to rely soley on "the 'Bay" for items like this... - JY

This is not the same F-117 you guys are talking about ..But a buddy of mine just got the Black Sheep F-117 and that thing looks great has 16 little radar looking kill markings on there...Good size too.

Indeed John, I saw the other day their long awaited 1:48 Israeli F-15A and they had actually given it the wrong paint scheme : the dessert camouflage of an IAF F-15E on the airframe of a single seater...
