| Re: posting pictures of diecast There are two ways you can do it: 1) See the light blue bar just below the The Model Hangar logo - click the Image Hosting drop-down menu and select "Upload My Image". Just follow the instructions. With this option, you will have your images hosted on this forum just like having a personal 'image file folder' to store all your pictures... When you want to post your pictures, all you need to do is locate this: BB Code IMG "then do this: highlight-copy-paste" the image URL address on your post and viola! 2) When you respond to this post of mine, you will have a whole of page of options. Look for the button "Manage Attachments" and click on it. Again follow the instructions. With this option, your images will be uploaded as "thumbnails" and will show up on the bottom page of your post as a series of small picture squares. If you click on it, it will enlarge just enought to view it. Try it, it's not that difficult to do. Good luck. | |||||||||||||

| Re: posting pictures of diecast Welcome Kdiecast!! Here is one other way to upload pictures. When you create or reply to a thread, below the entry box is an area called "My Image Hosting" within this area you will see two buttons, one marked " Insert an uploaded image" and "Upload a new image". Click on the "Upload a new image" button and a dialog box will pop up allowing you upload an image from your computer. Just click on the "browse" button and that will allow you to search your files for the pic, once you have selected the file, click on the "Host it" button. The system will upload the pic form your computer and the URL will appear within your post. That URL is the image link to your pic on VBhosting and the pic will appear when you finish the post. Hope this helps. | |||||||||||||

kdiecast - Welcome - we were ALL "newbie's" at one time or another - the only way to learn something is to ask a lot of questions! Since you've already gotten some good solid instruction, I'll be quiet for now. When you hit "host it", just make sure your cursor icon is on the page you want the picture to appear on - otherwise it'll show up in your personal "pix" or photo file folder. Just click on "host it", THEN immediately left-click on the bottom (or underneath your text message) of your posting page & it'll show up there. Just play around with it & it'll come to you quickly! Welcome to The Model Hangar - regardless of which subject you wish to choose! Cheers, JY | ||||||||||||||

| Re: posting pictures of diecast Hello kdiecast, Let me join others in welcoming you to the forum and register my interest in seeing photos of your collection. I have only joined a little over two months ago and have benefitted immensely from the advice and information posted by others on this forum. Are you into diecast aircraft or armour? Or both? Trust me, I am a technophobe and had a lot of problems posting pictures on-line for the first time. But it ain't that difficult and now I really enjoy putting up pics of my stuff and hearing comments from other forummers. Have fun! Paladin18 | |||||||||||||
