Armour Marseilles Yellow 14

My new Marseilles Bf-109 arrived today in the old style CDC red and tan box. I like these best because there is no screw in the bottom and remaining hole.
The model is decal and pad printed but the decals on this one are flawless. I've never seen a better Armour decal job. Many little stencils on this model that I don't remember seeing before on other 109s that have passed through the collection. The quality of the paint is second to none and other than the questionable position of the tail surfaces, I think this is a very nice model overall.

Congrats Pappy! Saw this one at the closed up diecast shop way back and now myself for not picking it up!

Re: Armour Marseilles Yellow 14

Well, I got the Yellow 14 today -- nice-looking model, but it's entirely sticker decals. It's a CDC original -- so i wonder where that fallacy started that CDC used all pad-printed graphics.

Take another look at yours Parsig if you would and confirm that some markings are pad-printed. That would be strange to see two from the same production period in the same packaging with different decal methods. What markings are pad printed? Looking at your pics it looks like all the big ones are stickers, the only one on mine that looks like it may be printed is the small stencil under the exhaust stacks on the port side.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Looks great, but I don't know if I'll hang onto it afterall. I was hoping it would prevent the "need" to get the new Flying Tigers version. I'm just afraid the decals will flake off, like I've seen on other old CDC and FM models.

That's too bad they had to use the decals on them back then...
Sorry to hear your not happy with it.
