Armour Geanne/Geronimo

Just picked up this P-38 Lightning the other day from Ebay. I like it for its simplicity. The shark's mouths seem to be painted as are most of the other markings. The fact that the name is a decal is much more noticable in some photos than others.

The name on the plane Geanne is a decal as is one of the maintenance markings on the port fuselage. I've been refering to the plane as Geronimo for years and never did see a good up close photo anywhere. Well, that's over now as I'm posting some and the name is clearly not Geronimo. This is B11B278 (98112)
Paid $66 shipped.

Re: Armour Geanne/Geronimo

With that adjustment of his guns he will have a lots of trouble hitting anything.

But, still a great addition to any collection.
The only P-38 I call my own is the Putt-Putt Maru

You have one more P-38 than I do. One of these days I will get around to snagging one.

Maybe it is a design to shoot down a formation of enemy bombers with one burst,,, have to line it up just right.

Re: Armour Geanne/Geronimo

I picked up "Yippee" and "8-Ball" for a song off eBay in the past few weeks. I must say, "Yippee" is a unique bird.

I see a "Jandina" on eBay now. I already have this bird otherwise I'd be biddin':

Armour 1/48 P-38 "Jandina IV" #98170 RARE MIB - eBay (item 180236847619 end time May-02-08 19:15:51 PDT)

Another "Jandina" went for only $56.00 a week or so back.....

Armour P38 Lightning 1:48 Scale J.T.Robbins - eBay (item 260229928217 end time Apr-20-08 18:30:00 PDT)
