Re: Little Buckaroo P-38

Very nice looking P-38 there, B6! The nose section of the Lightning really lends itself well to nose art canvas, doesn't it? Do you know
if FM did the "The Arkansas Traveler" nose art? Thanks for sharing the good review and dirty pics as well.

My UPS driver got a workout today by dropping off two FM models and a Corgi Ju-52.

This post concerns the FM P-38 called Little Buckaroo which portrays the mount of P-38 ace Maj. Robert "Buck" Rogers, CO of the 392nd FS / 367th FG based in France in 1944. Based on the pics I have of the real plane I have to say that FM did an excellent job of it. The only decal on the model is that of the nose art (which FM only placed on the left side of the cockpit - yay!). The only noticeable gaps are where the wings join the tail booms (but that seems to be a part of FM P-38s anyway). This is a terrific model and worth getting if you are looking for a nice FM P-38.

Some quick and dirty pics:

Re: Latest FM acquisition

Information:

I got my money back from the shipping company.... 14 days fight

But it was a seller mistake. I opened the box yesterday. The skrew (i call it "transport-skrew") was missing. Thats the reason why the model is broken.

Tomorrow two more models are coming...

Thanks Fly! I don't believe FM did one with that nose art (at least a search didn't turn-up anything). I think it would make a cool looking P-38 though.
