Re: Latest FM acquisition

Just picked these two up. I love the way the (mostly) low-viz Bounty Hunters 'Cat looks!

Nice ones Trex!

The Hornet is something special!

Re: Latest FM acquisition

AA, you are SOOO smart. All we have to do is by another house for our diecast display. And what with the "burst" "housing bubble" houses are cheaper!

Gee, that's what they keep telling me each and every day. ;-)

Sadly over here and especially in my city prices are as high as ever.

Re: Latest FM acquisition

Yeah, I've been a good customer of his (and eubro's) lately on ebay... some truly killer deals. That's where I got the vikings F-18 -- $30-something shipped and it is $200 on aikens I think. (they are simply nutz with those prices but it makes you feel like you got a real deal I guess!)

Yeah, me too. I spend like a ton of money on both of them since last year.

Most prices are really awesome!

The other thread in The Pub inspired me to start this one. I thought It could be a good idea to share pictures of our new FM acquisitions. So here we go:

F-16 Aggressor 57 FWW - 64 FWS. Retired 2003.
Got it from ebay. It is a good model overall, the paint lines are a little blurry but it still looks good.

Coldupnorth - Neat idea for a discussion - perhaps my favorite topic, since I get to see first-hand all of the neat-o stuff everyone buys - to see if I want to get them... - HA! My "offerings" for this particular thread of discussion (sorry for replying so late - my computer's been hard-down with some missing operating files - had to go through a WHOLE bunch of in order to get it up and running again!! I honestly think Microsoft software is twitchier than Charles Manson on crack cocaine!!) are as follows:

(1) My first order of business (recently) was to try to obtain another (this being the 4th one...!!) "Omega" (B11B459/#98046) Phantom - one without "silvered" decals and broken and/or missing parts. Mesa came through for me here - with many thanks!! I finally got one that is about as perfect as you're gonna find that's still in "like new" condition!! Interestingly enough, this model was one of several Armour/FM 2003 "cancellations" - and appears ONLY on page 90 of the 2003 Armour/FM catalog. It never appears in any other official Armour/FM publication, at least that I can find. See attached photo scan of that particular page (enlarging the photo makes it look a whole lot better...!!).
(2) I recently picked up a pair of (#98057 - the "B11...." number escapes me at the moment) Armour British F-117 Stealth attack planes from Armour Addict - I was going to buy a third earlier from Mesa, but our clothes washing machine went kaput - big time, and so I had to come up with $500+ to make the little woman happy. If Mesa still has it, I may yet email him with an offer. It's a real attractive paint scheme, even if it never officially flew operationally.
(3) My #1 dealer down in San Diego, California informed me recently that while it is considered a normal production model, the B11E756 "Alcock & Brown" British FGR.2 (RAF) Phantom is now in very short supply (this according to an email memo sent to him from Armour) sooooooo, I ordered two of them & they should be here within the next day or two.
(4) At the same time, I ordered a pair of B11E754 "California Boomerang" F-86A Sabres from him as well. When I combine orders, he gives me great deals on shipping so I figured this might be as good a time as any to order them, since the photos of them looked great! - JY
