FM JASDF F-4EJ Rarest ever F-4

Last edited by Mesa : 04-11-2008 at 07:34 PM. Reason: typeo
Hello,

I thought you'd like to see what has been described as the rarest ever FM F-4 Phantom. It is a Japanese Air Self-Defense Force version. Produced several years ago and only for the Japanese market, this item is a real beauty. The cool graphics say it all. It even has extra, attachable missiles! It may be hard to see, but it has a two-tone gray basic paint scheme. This plane may find a new home soon. The FM number is D750.

Nice! I'd love for it to find a new home in my hangar.. but I don't think I can handle the additional "rent"

Yeah, I'm kicking myself for not snapping this one up along with the RAF "OMEGA" livery.

Re: FM JASDF F-4EJ Rarest ever F-4

I don't know why FM didn't produce more of these. The plane looks cool enough even for those who don't typically go after Japanese schemes. This one will be really hard to let go, but I need some more room for my B-17 & B-24 repaints.

Re: FM JASDF F-4EJ Rarest ever F-4

Coldupnorth,

I don't know precisely how many were produced, but my friend in Japan who helped me get this said that only 400 were made (this is what the distributor told him). This sounds about right, given other limited releases.

Re: FM JASDF F-4EJ Rarest ever F-4

Yeah, 400 of those were done.

I am lucky to own one of those.

From my POV one of the top 3 FM/A Phantoms.
