Re: A FEW PHOTO's OF THE NEW FM's

With the exception of the wind screen, it is not a bad looking model.

Thumbs up Re: A FEW PHOTO's OF THE NEW FM's

I agree. Looks pretty cool. I think I'll wait and see what other paint schemes they come out with in the future.

JP, Ask and you shall receive. BTW I kinda thought about the canopy and decided to try something. I pried the rear portion off and am thinking of gluing it to the mid section to make it one piece....problem solved. It took me all of 10 seconds with an xacto knife too.

Thank You for posting the pictures Trex.

Agreed but the canopy just kills it for me -- hopefully they will address this with repaints and move that mirror, too!

Agree with Pappy, although these may be things that one can fix at home (but then that kills part of the appeal of diecast versus model kits).

FM/A showed they can correct mistakes on occasion with what they did to their Mirage III. I just got the Israeli Mirage, and well, I'm very impressed! They did fix the spine so it now looks like a real Mirage, and the paint job is superb. All pad printed markings as far as I can tell. No visible screws (Elmer...). A few small detail inaccuracies, and no ordnance/fuel tanks at all on this one (I prefer that than wrong shape stuff hanging from the wings/fuselage), but overall, I highly recommend this one. One of the best, maybe the best FM/A effort in jets, along with their A-10. The canopy does open (but again, FM was too lazy to paint the ejection seat properly. But it's not too distracting from the overall impression).

Now I'm hoping they come out with more liveries for that mold (Brazil? South Africa? Silver Israeli scheme? Remake of the Swiss one? Spain? I like the Australian one too but too expensive...).

So I hope they can fix the Razorback P-47, which should take much less effort than what they did for the Mirage.

Thanks for the pictures, they are fabulous. Anybody know what the hold-up with this P-47 is at TFM?

Re: A FEW PHOTO's OF THE NEW FM's

2 exposed in the fuselage and 2 in each wheel well. Here you go Elmer:

Thanks, trex... terrifific pics! Much appreciated. It appears that FM wedded the old wings and horizontal stabs mold (i.e. the bubbletop ones) to this new razorback fuselage mold. Do you have a bubbletop to compare this to confirm my suspicion?

No problem Elmer! I have a Zemke Bubbletop somewhere in the storage rental unit (I haven't gone there in months) so I'll have to maybe go there this weekend to dig it out.
