Armour special versions / limited versions

Dear all,

does anyone of you knows a good internet data base for all the special versions from Armour?Or do I really need to enter every possible Armour Item Number on Google and look what comes up?
The Armour catalog is not really helpful, the special versions are not listed.

I found some special models in Australia, Swiss and Canada but only after some time doing my internet research.

OMI had some old models listed but they have a new Internet site and so these once are gone now.

Hope you can help me

Christian

Hi Christian,

I've always thought that Flying-Mule has the best site/pix for 'Armour/F.M' models; but not special versions, maybe ?

As far as your suggestion goes regarding dialling-in (Google) the catalogue-numbers, it's probably a waste of time; or at least I've found it to be so & discussed this with Pappy-B. & some of the other lads on here.

You could always P.M. 'Armour-Addict' as he is pretty clued-in about the 'F.M' range overall.

Aikens Airplanes has by far the most extensive collection. Check them out for sure.

I do agree, Aikensairplanes is really a good source. He also shows several pictures and not only the catalogue "cartoon"
The flying Mule, Hobbywings, Trainsandplanes,Microjoy are also not bad

derhamburgerjung (where DO you guys come up with these names, anyway...?? HA!) - The two BEST contacts for that information are: (1) Ranjet (2) Armour Addict. Either of these two fellas could answer your question - but of the two - I'd send a personal message to Ranjet - he literally has EVERY Armour/CDC & Armour/FM model EVER made - over 450+ (see his personal info & photos - you won't believe what you're gonna see...!!). If Ranjet doesn't have it, it either isn't available from ANY source - period; or it simply hasn't been made yet - and you can take that to the bank!! Send him a note and ask him what you're trying to locate! - JY

Re: Armour special versions / limited versions

Hi Christian,

it would help if you could narrow down your search parameters. CDC and FM have released many "special versions" and "limited versions" over the years. I have a pretty good grasp of what is or has been out there. So what are you looking for, WWII, modern jets, national specials?

Anyway, send me a PM if you whish. I speak German, too.

Cheers,
AA

Christian - Nothing is wrong with your name - it's your "handle" or "nom de guerre" I was wondering about - it struck me as a bit funny, is all - nothing personal, you understand! Cheers, - JY
