Re: P-38 Jandina IV Wrong Box

That is a pretty impressive oops.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

I believe it was Duxford who sent me an un-opened Matchbox Frank Luke Spad XIII (thanks again, Dux!) that was in, if I remember correctly, a Corsair box.

Re: P-38 Jandina IV Wrong Box

How do we know that BigMo didn't photoshop that box? Just kidding, but still, I am sure even the Chinese people who probably packed that box know the difference between a P-38 and a Stuka.

And it is for this reason that I am a big fan of Corgi. You would never... and I mean never find such a gross mistake on one of their fine diecast airplanes.

OK, now let the comments begin.

LOL SD, no out here in the sandbox I think I have other things to do than to photo shop, but I did contact the dealer and have a correct boxed Jandina on its way.
I will be sending this one back. I thought it would be interesting to entertain some comments before she goes back.

Wow, I hadn't realized that you got the patch and the Wings Over Houston sticker on the wrong box... that is a head scratcher. If this were a coin, you'd be rich with that type of goof, as that's "one in a million" or in this case, "one in 1200" ?

Re: P-38 Jandina IV Wrong Box

That's funny but not very uncommon. A few years ago when you get an item with a "packaging error" when the content inside is different from what is advertised on the boxart and such, you actually have what diehard collectors termed as a 'variant error item' which might be worth big bucks to someone who actually collects this stuff. I'm speaking of the action figure craze of the 90's when rabid fans collectors would seek out these errors in packaging and sell them off at eBay hoping some poor sucker would bite, and more often than not someone actually did!
