I got one of those for under 50 USD shipped, and have to say she looks okay. Not nearly as nice what FM has recently put out, but the fact that this is an honest to goodness Spit I rather than a repainted Spit V, made me decide to get it as a companion for my Galland C-1 Bf 109E. The model is definately faded, I believe because they used too light paint shades to begin with. Still, I like the retracting gear and real Spit I prop, though the lines just don't compare to the real thing like the Corgi 1/32 does. Still, it's nice to have a Spit I in 1/48. FM's original line did have some nice models, including their 1/96 B-17G and their 1/96 SR-71, and I will probably end up getting their 1/48 Mustang if one comes along at a reasonable price. I also have their Autographed Memphis Belle, whcih is stored away securely and will remain permanantly in my collection.

Hi Skysurfer, I saw the P-51 Mustang (yes somehow this one of FM's best effort at the time) at a tobacco and trinkets knick-knack shop at the mall the other day. Will I purchase it...yes I would, but it wasn't for sale. Also saw the 1/96 B-17G model and it's very nice looking as well.
