Pics: FM P-47D "Angie"

This is an original CDC Armour Collection piece I snagged off the 'bay for a reasonable price... fits in well with my particular "themes", very nice-looking and different scheme.

Catalog #:98143, first produced in 2001 -- FM number is B11B292

Oh, the photos are up! Great looking one Pappy. I like the quality of the paint finish. Seems you got a good one really. Kinda hit and miss with these FM planes. Lucky stiff.

Very nice "Angie" T-Bolt, Pappy!
Between this and "Rozzie Geth II"...I can see how enamored you are with T-Bolts adorned with gorgeous dame nosearts!

Re: Pics: FM P-47D "Angie"

Yes, I do like my models with noseart

Here's a good read on how this model, and the two other FM 406th FS T-bolts came to be:

406th WWII Fighter Group :: FRANKLIN MINT 406TH P-47 DIE CAST MODELS

The noseart shouldn't be on both sides, but FM seems to do this with a good percentage of their models........

Your pictures always look fantastic. The folks at FM should put you on the payroll, your pictures really make their models look great.

Re: Pics: FM P-47D "Angie"

Super pictures Pappy.

I also like the FM P-47s, and I own four so far (including a very recent acquisition on e-bay of an RAF cammo version, for practically peanuts. The others I have are Eagleston, Gabreski, and French AF). I may get this one as well if I can get a great deal somehow. I have the 1/32 21st Century "Angie" but I'm not all that happy with it (mostly because of the "girlie" landing gear).

Re: Pics: FM P-47D "Angie"

Fantastic photos Pappy! I'd love to see you photograph the No Guts No Glory one. I think the FM P-47's are one of their better planes. There's some real heft to them also.
