Question Armour F-117 - with NO external stuff...????

Just a quick question for you all - Did or does Armour make ANY (1/48th scale, of course...) F-117's WITHOUT any external ordnance (bombs, etc; - ie, without any bay doors open, etc.) showing?? I'm interested in perhaps acquiring one or more that were made in the "clean" configuration - if any of them are or were made that way...!!
If anybody knows of any matching that description, please let me know (I do NOT want the "American Flag" motif one, however...). Many thanks!! - JY

JY, I'm almost 100% sure FM/Armours 1/48 F-117's all come with open weapons bays (except the in-flight special edition/American Flag version). You can do a cross reference between pictures on TFM, Perry's and Aikens.

Sorry!

Yeah, I can confirm that.

John, the only choice you have is to get yourself a MACKIT kit of the F-117. I think it should be possible to build it to your specs.

Ok - That figures! I wonder if an Armour model could be modified with minimal effort - probably not, eh...??? - JY

Well, I guess closing the weapons bay and gear doors is doable. I've done that with an F-4 and F-15E so far.

Open weapons bay doors are the irritant for me - you don't normally see these things sitting on the ramps with them open. Gear doors I don't have a problems with... - JY

Ok, having said that, I might try to acquire the "American Flag" version & repaint the bottom - that sounds most "doable" to me... -
