Pics: FM P-38 Putt Putt Maru

Okay, I've been on a small FM binge lately... this will be it for a while.

P-38 Putt Putt Maru, catalog number: 98137

This is another one I got off ebay for a good price, and turned out to me another CDC original from 2001 -- only "stickers" are the prop markings. Not quite as nice as the Jandina... there's a bit of a fit issue where the glare panel should sit flush with the nose in front of the cockpit, and the black has a smidge of overspray... but otherwise it is quite nice I think.

I have this one as well, and it is cool.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Pappy, I know I told you I was done posting anything on the forum. However, your statement requires that I say something, and that is I'll believe it when I see it!I just about choked when I read this.

That Putt Putt Maru P-38 really does have a nice
touch to it.

Well, I can see how you might be a bit... incredulous.. but I only meant it for FM model posts (and purchases) -- all other brands are fair game

Re: Pics: FM P-38 Putt Putt Maru

Pappy, I also have this model, and love it. That problem with the fit in front of the cockpit seems to
be an issue with most (all?) FM P-38's.

Perhaps -- but I only have two to judge by and the Jandina doesn't have the same issue, so maybe I got lucky there.

I guess I lucked out too. I have three (Putt Putt Maru, Marge and Cal. Cutie) and none of them have this problem with the canopy.

Very good looking model. Must be pretty big in 1/48. Any chance of a piccie with the Corgi 1/72?
