Re: Pics: FM P-38 Putt Putt Maru

Congrats on your pickens Pappy, and on the P-47 Angie. I too have been watching for certain FM's. I have the Putt Putt, 8 Ball, Jacks, Pudgy, Cali Cutie and Armee Del Air. I also picked up P-47
"No Guts No Glory".

You saw my Ebay pickup today eh? Yeah, I thought I was done with FM... but looks like I'm diving back in. I've wanted that Angie for a while -- but it's $100 most places I know of that have it... so $35 was a no-brainer... whoop! (Didn't even have to snipe for it!)

I've seen NGNG at a local retailer as recently as a year ago (a 2 hour drive for me now after the move though), but passed as I had the Corgi version -- kicking myself now! (They also had Tarheel Hal... and Pudgy... for $55 each, which is a good deal now!). Maybe I'll give 'em a call and see if they still have 'em... who knows??

What's your opinion on the Armee Del Air?

Yeah, I was watching and I was watching when you got the Jandina, I was about to bid with 10 mins left on both Uncle Cy's and Jandina but had some work prob's arise. But I'm glad someone here picked at least one of them up. The verdict is still out I haven't recieved Armee Del Air and a couple of Karl Schnorrer FW 190 yet. I will let you know what I think of her and the FW 190.

Re: Pics: FM P-38 Putt Putt Maru

Either you guys are really lucky or I am really unlucky--I have 2 Marges, Jack, Cal Cutie and Putt Putt, and all have that same defect, some
worse than others. Maybe when my orders go in they have 'sucker' printed on them.

Larz

You know what Larz, I think you are correct in that they all do have a bit of a fit issue with the cockpit -- it's just harder to see on those with the black anti-glare strip along the nose... I just wasn't looking closely enough at a couple of mine. I can live with it though -- these are nice-looking hunks of metal.

Mine has the same issue with the cockpit too. Funny thing though, is that I didn't notice it till after it was stated in this thread.
