Bummer! Kill flags are the same as "Dominos Pizza" logo!

Hmmm... thanks -- so far I don't think anyone's said they have one with proper swazis... maybe FM only did one paint for this one rather than a "PC" version and a "US" version..

Re: Pics: FM 1:48 Me-262 "Black 4"

Let me know if you Rozzie has swazis in the kill flags, please

Pappy - presume you'll be interested ????????

The "56th-Gabreski-Bubbletop" I had in my hands earlier today (Yest'day)........

HAS got 'Hakenkreuz' ("swazis", as you call them, lol) in the blocks of "Kill-Markings" under the cockpit side.

Yeah, my Gabby had 'em too: http://www.diecastace.com/images/rev...r_gabby_19.jpg

I think that if you get a model with a catlaog number starting with "E" that you are getting the European version, and maybe it has "PC" markings... or perhaps the Rozzie was released after Gabby and they just went PC with the whole lot of 'em...

??

That's the only difference I see between my Rozzie Geth and the Gabby -- an "E" and "B" in the catalog numbers.. the Rozzie Geth is the only FM I have with an "E" in the number.

Pappy - I've REALLY enjoyed the recent exchanges we've had - (ALL forum-members), regarding Franklin Mint aircraft.

THAT's what makes this Forum SO GREAT....... the 'enlightenment' & increased 'awareness' of stuff available......

I really do think 'F.M' have been their "own worst enemy" recently = by producing a range, whereby most (potential & actual) buyers are truly unaware of the varying quality AND content of their range.......DUE TO (ALMOST) 'CARTOON'-LIKE PICTURES.

YOUR (EXCELLENT) PHOTO's, go SOME way, towards 're-dressing' the balance - & putting things in perspective........

Also, MASSIVE THANKS, go to FlyX, Armour Addict & Ara.1 (his superb Coastal B.24 pix !!!!!!!!)

I've seen stuff (on SEVERAL VISITS) that I've been previously TOTALLY unaware of (despite checking the 'Mule's site, for pix)

Those 'E' numbers are becoming more 'prolific' over here = the 'other' B.25 I saw today, was "Apache-Princess" (= an 'E' Cat no.).

Also, the 'Olive-Drab' P.38 Lightning, that I picked-up this-afternoon = 'E'.186 ("Jack")

Cause of your 'White-4' pix, I was also looking at every '262 in the store.........

SADLY, They DID NOT have 'Nowotny's 'White-8' , as featured in FlyX's mouthwatering pix (Damn !)

Do me a favor Horn, next time you're in that warehouse of yours check and see if these "E's" have actual swazis when they should...

And yes, it's cool to see a sort of mini-revival for poor ol' FM -- though they do bring it on themselves, don't they

Re: Pics: FM 1:48 Me-262 "Black 4"

PappyB,
I might be wrong but it looks like the "E"'s have nothing to do with being european part numbers. They started using B11E... for the new release models in 2005 per the FM catalog (including modern day fighters). The non-swastica versions started with G11E...
Example B11E057 vs *G11E057.
The catalog says "* Please use German part # for German orders."

Thanks,
aeroeng

Thanks Aero... only makes it more confusing though FM must have just done the whole run of Rozzie's "PC"
