You may be right, Pappy...

Actually looks like the canopy is one piece in that pic -- but still no aerial mast either... oh, the suspense!

Not I -- though I ordered one through Rock... I asked Aiken's about the canopy and they had already shipped all of theirs out so couldn't check for me!

Nope, I backed out on the pre-order too. I'll wait till TFM have some pictures on their website.

Re: B11E749 P-47 Razorback Richard Kik "Fearless Dick"

Not sure this clears it up exactly but here's my info this morning from AA:

HI-
I have the Fearless Dick open in front of me: The canopy is in a seperate copartment in the box. There is the front windshield piece stuck in place and a rear window behind the pilots seat. It does not look like the canopy will slide anywhere. It looks as though you would just put the canopy in place. Pelase let me know if there is anyhting else I can help you with--thanks--Lexi

So it at least looks like they didn't keep with the P-51B style canopy we saw on the prepro... However, why would they mold the canopy as two pieces if you can't display it open? Hmmmmm. And why is AA the only one that seems to ahve these... they're already selling through their second allotment.

BTW -- I saw the FM P-51B up close for the first time yesterday.... Guess FM just doesn't like the Mustang...

Thanks for that, Pappy. You didn't happen to find out anything about the antannae mast (or lack of)?

Re: B11E749 P-47 Razorback Richard Kik "Fearless Dick"

Just heard from Aikens again -- they asked FM who said this:

I apologize for my delayed answer but I had sold my last one of these and had to forward your message onto my Franklin Mint dealer, this is what she said:
The B11E749 should have a fuselage antenna on the production per our retained sample and BOM.

So, there should be a mast, and hopefully correct cockpit.... whew.

(The crew at AA is awesome at trying to find out answers to my annoying questions, thanks to them for their efforts!)

Terrific! Thanks, Pappy. Now... when will someone else get this in stock?? I hope pictures of the production model are soon available.
