FM/A 2008 line-up - My impressions

Being the resident Armour Addict I took the great oppurtunity to check out most of the new releases up close.

To be honest, I wasn't impressed much of what I saw.

Some models are okay others are simply

Strangely some WWII models like the Me262 and Me109 are painted in high gloss. This doesn't do the models any good!

As for the F-22 Raptor. From my point of view the new Raptor is even worse than the previous one! A good thing is that the ejection seat is partly black but the rest is indescribable! The area around the 2D engine nozzles is painted golden. I am no expert on F-22s but this looks SO wrong to me. The whole appearance of the Raptor is more like a toy than a collectors model.

The AC-47 is not worth getting either. Nice camo paint job but the minis look way to flimsy.

The new F-16H adversary reminds me of a christmas tree partialy covered with snow. D'oh!

Most of the new paint jobs are a little tooo gaudy and bright for my taste.

'Nuff said, heres the pics:

AA, are any of the 2008's worth getting, in your opinion, besides the He-111? Is the AC-47 really that bad (I already have the D-Day one) and how does the new P-47C Razorback? Oh yeah, how's the paint on the '08 Zero Floatplane?

If the PBY ends up being worth it, then FM's 2008 year was not a bust for me.

Yeah... it does. And did you notice the description... new lightweight model made of aluminum.

This intrigues me.

Re: FM/A 2008 line-up - My impressions

Hey folks,

just received an update on the models painted glossy.

Only the pre-pro models I saw are painted this way, the actual production models are painted matte as usual.

Cheers,
AA
