Right on, Rock Jock. I echo your comments and, in fact, have previously posted my thoughts on Perfection for Peanuts. The CEO of die cast manufactured aircraft needs to get his staff together and lay down a few rules. First, research the hell out of any plane before we even consider building it. Pick the plane with the best varieties of liveries and country for market appeal. Keep the cost down and if that means the use of more plastic, so be it. Pack/ship it well and forget fancy, expensive box art. Never forgvet your market target: Me & you. If the "Rivet Counters" want perfection then they can either build the perfect representation of their dreams, or pay someone else to do it for them.

The old cliche; "Champagne tastes and a beer pocketbook" applies to all too many posters on this forum. It's even worse on the U.K. "Diecast Aviation Home."

Re: Fm 2008=boooooooooooooo!

Definitely true for Eagles. But Carousel?...

Carousel released its first mold (P-40) and two models from it in November 2005. To date (28 months since that time), Carousel has released 7 molds with 23 different models. This averages out to be about one mold for every 4 months and just under 1 model per month. In 2006 alone, C1 released 4 molds (possibly 6, I can't remember if the Nieuport 17 and Fokker flyboys models came out in late 2005 or 2006), with more than 12 models from those molds. C1 slowed down quite a bit in 2007 with no new molds and only 4 new models. So, the facts are that C1 has the potential to put models out at a decent clip. What is going on now is anyone's guess. Maybe C1 does not "poop" models out at the same clip that Franklin does, but I would say that C1's "poop" looks healthier and smells cleaner.

I did forget about C1's WWI planes. Even though,, those flyboy model are pretty simple and not a very good seller. Take this to the Bank, your going to see a Fire Sale on these in the near future.
I guess that I only collect the 48 scale WWII planes. If I didn't have FM I wouldn't have much. Oh,,, I do collect the GMP line also. This is a real loss that their leaving the scene.

If it's a true fire sale, I MIGHT consider buying one.
