New 2008 FM shown at Aikens

I just saw 2 PBY in prewar colors and a Martlet among other new 2008 Franklin Mint listed at Aikens. Take a look...better than HA listings.
Also a gorgeous B-17.

Re: New 2008 FM shown at Aikens

Yeah, there are a few new repaints and a brand new PBY in presumably 1/48. The PBY is a -5 which makes it a stretch for a prewar PBY, but it will be good to see this model in detail. The Junkers F-13 is also new to the US market. There's also a torpedo He 111 which looks cool.

The "Spotted Ape" is also new for 2008... I can't believe it! My uncle flew this assembly ship after he finished his missions with the 458th Bombardment Group. I may just have to break down and add one of those huge, heavy, under-detailed B-24s to my collection. What do you think the chances are that FM will plug the screw holes????

Count me in for the PBY for sure.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

That is one big, under-detailed, FUGLY B24, too (though the familial tie-in gives you a better excuse than I have for any of my models)

I just got a Dragon and His Tail FM Lib -- great deal -- but I don't have it here yet. (Calling contractors this week for bids on a house extension... )

I find it very puzzling that FM's done not one, but two assembly ships and Corgi's is bargin bin fodder... granted, both of FM's choices are more visually "interesting".

And, is that a razorback P-47 I see, too.. . cool scheme even... hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Though it's called a P-47D Razorback... wonder if it's just the art for the Razorback, and it will be the same D-model bubbletop mold?

That new Rufe looks nice, too...

Cool!

Finally the cat is out of the bag.

A AC-47 Gunship?! If it has the side-mounted miniguns it's a sure buy! (oh, oh I am SO running out of space - again!)
