Hey, I just snagged one myself -- curiosity got the best of me My pal Black6 has already coined it "Bombzilla" -- he was "nice" enough to pick it up for me at a local clearance sale and I've yet to see it personally...

This might be the model that puts the Mrs. "over the edge" we shall see!

Pappy, if you get a chance to go to Diecast City...do it before tomorrow or you'll miss out on the FM deals there! 45% off if you buy two, and he'll probably throw in a third for free!

O.M.G. Pappy

You are 'Dead-Meat' matey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(some mate B'tt is, sticking your neck in the noose 'King-Sized' )

The box is like a (large-ish) suitcase !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your name is 'mud' (w/'wifey-dear')

Suggest, A) Either pack some warm clothes & thermos flask, or stay with friends !!!!!!!!!
(too cold to sleep in Garage, WITH your '24 this time of year !!!!!!!!!!!!)

B) Leave with Black-6 & supply HIM w/sandwiches & heater for stint in HIS Garage !

C) Flog it to Ara, he's prob' mad enough to have it !!!!!!!!!!!

Since I spoke to Black-6 last, I got divorced, so I've got the 'castle' to myself (hence the accquisition of the 'F.M' B.24 !!!!!!!!)

Hmmmm, hopefully this isn't the start a "trend" caused by our "pal" Black6

Perhaps he's conspiring to get me booted out of the house so he can step in and help the Mrs. "get rid" of all these silly planes???

BUt I'm making a big pile of stuff I'm getting rid off in plain sight of the Mrs. so she she's all of that go out... before Bombzilla comes in. We'll see if it helps!

Re: New 2008 FM shown at Aikens

'Little Gramper'[/b]s' own air-base (North-Pickenham) less than an hour ago !!!!!!!!

I found this on the internet:

THE LITTLE GRAMPER was a B-24D and had one of the most colorful careers of all the 389th Bombardment Group SKY SCORPIONS. After flying her missions she was turned over to the 491st Bombardment Group to become their formation assembly ship, so they repainted her yellow all over with red polka dots....

Interesting... any pics/profiles of it before the repaint?

Re: New 2008 FM shown at Aikens

Franklin hasn't posted prices for 08 yet but look for increases on some models. These new prices might be released tomorrow.

Yeah, concur on that. Some backlog items might see a price increase.

Dudes: the consensus around these parts (the back woods off of good ol' Rte 3) is the B-24 is verrry big and there's no place to put her!

But she's mine and I'm glad of it!

Yes her bum looks big! I'll drink to that!
