Re: 2008 FM Listing at Historic Avation ?

Just got my catalog today, and I LIKE that NASA F-104! If there isn't any 1/72nd 104's with that scheme coming anytime soon, I might have to make an exception to my "no 1/48th" rule to pick this one up...

Re: 2008 FM Listing at Historic Avation ?

Received my catalog today as well it even said on the back "The unveiling of Franklin Mint's 2008 Lineup and of Hobby Master's New Premium collection are both happening here!

I spoke to a retailer today and one of the employees said the owner knew what the new FM castings were but she did not... I am sure our retailer friends have already placed orders for them so hopefully we can get some info from them?

My favorites - IAF F-15, Me 262, F-104N, F-86 and the Red Mig-15.

Question Re: 2008 FM Listing at Historic Avation ?

I'll be pre-ordering that Israeli F-15C as soon as it gets posted. Franklin Mint: if you're listening, please take your time with these new releases and get the paint schemes right this year! (no F-22s with grey cockpits, etc). These are some exciting releases; looks like 2008 will be a good year!

Sorry to disagree with you there, Fly Navy 75 - While there are new versions of old molds, I don't see any NEW CASTINGS (new planes) that would make me thrilled about 2008. Don't get me wrong - I collect primarily F-86's & F-4's, however, having said that, I'd love to "go nuts" over some A-4's, F-100's, F-8's, MiG-21's, A-7's, etc; etc; - you see what I mean? I saying "Oh c'mon, Armour... - we REALLY DON'T need more Phantoms & Sabres... - WHERE IS THE N-E-W stuff.....????? - JY

Re: 2008 FM Listing at Historic Avation ?

It would be cool to see repaints of a Royal Navy Phantom with pad printed tampo....no decals... Wishfull thinking..
I notice i didn't see any new Phantoms for 2008...Maybe more listing will come out..We will have
to wait and see....

Oh yeah, that would be soooo cool!

Hm, I haven't seen a new Hornet either.

I think this is just the beginning.

So far I've seen 23 new models on the H.A. page, last year's catalog sported 40 new models....

I will be picking that one up as well. I just can't have enough of NASA F-104 schemes in my inventory. I may pick up the Red Baron MiG-15 and the Russian MiG-29 "Swift" art deco as well!

My copy came in yesterday, and as usual, some pretty nice items to think about.

Re: 2008 FM Listing at Historic Avation ?

That is a great place. I got the FM P-38 with the green dragon tails, and the visible B-17 model. I also got the poster of the hot chick on the corsair.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
