Re: 2008 FM Listing at Historic Avation ?

I'll be pre-ordering that Israeli F-15C as soon as it gets posted. Franklin Mint: if you're listening, please take your time with these new releases and get the paint schemes right this year! (no F-22s with grey cockpits, etc). These are some exciting releases; looks like 2008 will be a good year!

Me too! This bird sure is exciting!

For me the rest I've seen is not that tempting...

Darn, you beat me to it JP!

The F-15 in Israeli scheme is very exciting to me as well, but I was hoping FM might have treated us IAF fans a Mirage III with a bare-metal and or desert camo scheme instead. An F-4E Kurnas would've been great to do as well!

I don't think these are all that are coming. So far I've seen 23 new ones... Hoping for more though.

Re: 2008 FM Listing at Historic Avation ?

Looking at the Historic aviation site, hopefully the "F-15C" (single seat designation) is a typo. I thought the desert camo scheme on Israeli Eagles was only on the F-15I (2-seat variants). Although the photo looks like a single seater as well, but it's only a pre-pro photo.

Re: 2008 FM Listing at Historic Avation ?

I just thought I would add a comment to this FM thread,
I bought the new parrot nose P40 scheme and its the best FM model I have.
The finish and quality is a big improvement on previous offerings.

Way to go FM.

Did they fix the canopy and prop spinner?

Though I'll bet FM didn't plug the screw holes...

AH now you gone and spoilt it, there "are" some nice details on the prop.
The wheels are still riveted on also but at least the colour is near the mark and the finish is very good.
Those screw holes are pain but i have them wheels down so I dont see them, erm well I have too, there is no stand.

I have some good photos of this scheme but where I have put them is anybodys guess. I want to check just how close FM have got to the real plane.
I will resume the search in the morning.

God Bless America.

I didn't mean to... just tryin' to be a bit of a pain, a bit funny, a bit ridiculous, and a bit of a constant reminderer (is that a word?) of how FM could easily improve its current castings.
