Re: How many Collection Armour's you got?

I agree, I want so badly to display them, of course I collect Century, Corgi, Dragon and others. Some day I will have a museum maybe... I really do need to thin out the collection. The rarer ones I have are the JASDF F-15, Sabre, Phantom, Screaming Eagle Phantoms, Royal Navy Phantoms, Swiss, CAF, Aussie Hornets and Sabres, German Sabre, Phantom, Starfighters. Only have one of the F-15 Eagle RedHawks, most of the older releases.

Ranjet,

Very impressive!!! Do you have that many aircrafts from the other makers also??? How long have you been collecting? By the way, I sent you an IM.

AA, you must be relieved to see there are people deeper than you in this addiction...

As far as my collection goes, I have 14 of them, mostly hornets. I just started collecting 2 months ago. I tought I was getting out of control, but I guess I'm just doing fine!!

Smile Re: How many Collection Armour's you got?

I was so totally floored by the number of FM 1:48s in "ranjets" collection that I wantedto see just what was being offered by FM, and what would it cost to own it. Using Aiken's Airplanes I learned this:

FM/CDC offers 39 fixed wing models

388 are now available on their site

Total value would be $34,550 if you had every issue in your hanger (Barn, more likely)

Average price per issue would be $89.04

My meager FM/CDC hanger is worth $2,137.

Re: How many Collection Armour's you got?

I have 27 of these models, but haven't bought one in years due to the generally low quality, especially the lack of detail. A few, such as the SBD, P-38, F4U and F6F are quite acceptable, though far from spectacular, but I have no intention of buying any more until FM really makes a decision to put out a top quality product---even if this means higher prices. At this point, I am buying selected C1 and HM 1:48s, with the latter's Spitfire XIV ( Lacey ), being my latest acquisition.
