Re: How many Collection Armour's you got?

Don't worry AA, you are not alone. I currently have 261 Armour Collection 1/48 scale models. Of those, I have 203 on display in curio cabinets with 58 still boxed. I will not unbox a model unless it can be displayed in a cabinet. I just got a new "medium size" cabinet that will hold 35-40 models. I'm down to only enough space for one more small cabinet, plus I think I can cram several more models into my older cases by using some clear resin display cubes and stands with staggered heights on the shelves. I started collecting CDC/Armour in 1999. I went bonkers for a couple of years, getting virtually everything offered. Have slowed down considerably lately-10 to 15 a year due to space limitations and more discerning taste due to new manufacturers getting into 1/48. I have all 23 Phantoms as well as all Hellcats produced by CDC/FM as well as many examples of other toolings that I like. Don't have time to break down my collection right now or post digital photos--but some of my suppliers hve seen pictures of my collection and know that there is a totally deranged person living in Victoria, Texas. --------------Happy collecting, markko

Hello All

This is my first post to this great forum.

Yes, welcome Ranjet! What a staggering collection, if you have it as a digital list then you should post it sometime. Franklin Mint has made some very rare versions for specialized markets and most of us are unaware of these liveries.

And yes, we have a great time here at the Model Forum!

Re: How many Collection Armour's you got?

Hello All

This is my first post to this great forum. I am an avid diecast collector and appreciate the comments, pictures and information you all contribute. Alright, here goes, if Armour Addict is an Addict then I am a Psycho, Crazed Lunatic Armour Collector - I have over 460 1/48 Armours. I at one time entertained starting a business but my current job really doesn't allow me to do so. I specialized in the rarer types and have many times scoured the world to find them. I took care of John Youngs on the Aussie Sabre. I stumbled through the Japanese language to get some F15s, Sabres and Phantoms. I am waiting for the day when I can have a huge room to display them all. Right now I am in transition and have many in storage but need to definitely thin the collection for domestic reasons...

I obviously enjoy the hobby and collect other scales and manufacturers as well. I am thankful for having these replicas and am not overly critical of their composition. Its nice to have a forum of others with similar interests. There are some awesome models coming out and I am excited (crazily addicted) to this hobby. Take Care

Hey AA-- Look, there's someone more "disturbed" than you and I put together! Welcome to the forum ranjet!
----Happy collecting, markko

Re: How many Collection Armour's you got?

Thanks all for your welcomes, especially you Das Boot! I moved earlier this year which allowed me to gather my collection from all the secret spots in our house. I staged them all in the garage, took an inventory and for you Das Boot snapped a couple pictures. Here they are (hopefully):

Re: How many Collection Armour's you got?

I agree, I want so badly to display them, of course I collect Century, Corgi, Dragon and others. Some day I will have a museum maybe... I really do need to thin out the collection. The rarer ones I have are the JASDF F-15, Sabre, Phantom, Screaming Eagle Phantoms, Royal Navy Phantoms, Swiss, CAF, Aussie Hornets and Sabres, German Sabre, Phantom, Starfighters. Only have one of the F-15 Eagle RedHawks, most of the older releases. All sitting in their boxes!! Here are some picts of some:
