Hi Parsig!

Just received this model 2 days ago, love it but there are some accuracy issues. First, the pics.

The three main issues with this model are the color, cross markings, and propellers.

The color should be overall RLM 63, a medium grey-green. The color of the model is several shades darker than 63 (the hue is right, but the value is wrong).

Regarding the three-bladed propellers, I've search through all my files on the Ju 52 and have found only one (non post-war) pic of this type. I do not know why FM chose these Hamilton-Standard propellers but I don't think they're right.

Can anyone help me on this? The good news is they're metal and pitched correctly so these are going to retrofit my C-47's quite nicely.

The markings look fine except for the crosses, which appear to be the mid-war style (1943ish). However this model's red sash and centered swastika on the tail tell us this is a decidely pre-war bird (1935ish). The wheel spats confirm this as an ex-Lufthansa bird. So the crosses should be the narow type, as shown in these two photos.





I am a bit disappointed there's no "dustbin" underwing gun turret, nor any gun positions up top on the fueslage. I have had no luck finding reseach materials on this specific machine 50+G10. Ken Merrick has a stablemate printed in his Luftwaffe Colors Vol I book, which show the turrets, narrow crosses, red sash and lighter RLM 63.

Definite oops on the propeller. I have found one picture of a Casa 352L that had three blade prop setup, but that is it. Is there any chance they may have just made an error on this one as far as the props go? All their other Ju 52s have a two bladed prop. You might want to drop a line to the folks at Franklin Mint on this one.

I notice on the picture of the bottom part of the plane FM used the plugs to cover the screw heads on this one..

Sure thing! As discussed before displaying a swazi is a big no-no in Germany.

So that's a rather innovative way of displaying a model that has it.
