Thumbs up Soon-to-be discontinued Armour models

Last edited by John Youngs : 12-31-2007 at 07:41 AM. Reason: correcting grammatical errors
Just a quick post to let you all know - some of you already know this - Armour is getting ready to discontinue certain models - I just found this out from my favorite dealer down in San Diego, CA.
Firstly, The Armour B11E069 Japanese A6M2-N "Rufe" Zero Floatplane, while NOT discontinued, yet; nevertheless, he tells me there is some talk of it. He's selling this plane for $45, plus actual cost of shipping to your address. I assume others are doing similar deals - ??

Secondly, the following 6 F-86 Sabres, MiG-15's, and one MiG-17 ARE going to be discontinued, and are ALL $35 each, plus shipping. The Flying Mule Company is also selling these for the same price right now, although I'm not sure what they're shipping charges are. You can "Google" each of these "B11..." numbers to see what they actually are...

(1) B11B926 (2) B11E192 (3) B11B925 (4) B11E404 (5) B11E201 and finally, (6) B11E070

Some are F-86 Sabres, two are MiG-15's, and one is a MiG-17. I'm checking on any other jets - you'll have to check your dealers for any other WWII stuff. Good luck & good hunting, gentlemen...!! - JY

Re: Soon-to-be discontinued Armour models

JY my friend, # 3 on your list, the F-86 #B11B925 , has been both hard for me to find and at a price I want to pay. The Mule no longer carries it. If your San Diego dealer has it at the price you mention, would you PLEASE send me contact info via PM or post here. I made the mistake of selling my copy of the model and would really like to get again.

I would be MOST appreciative too (the heck with Skunky!) Thanks!!!

And if there is any truth to the rumor that the Rufe may be discontinued, then I would suggest anyone with a desire for a nice 1:48 Jap. floatplane model not pass it by. If the shipping isn't bad this is a great price for a really nice model (ok, with the usual FM caveats - see thread about this particular model in the FM topics area). I'm really happy with the one I got a couple of weeks ago.

Hey Black6, a major online retailer looks like it has it on sale now for a great price -- $37 - PM sent

I just love helping others spend money on planes when my funds have run dry!

That's what I love about you Pappy, you are always there to see to it that I live in both peril and abject poverty.

Re: Soon-to-be discontinued Armour models

Actually it wouldn't bother me at all if FM/Armour discontinued all their models........
