FM was bought by another company, maybe there are some delays due to that takeover.

Re: Any info on 2007 releases ?

I would like to see a Tigercat and a bearcat. I think it they are needed to complete the cats in 1/48th scale. I currently have them but the are a plastic built kit of a Bearcat, and the Specast F7F.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Still waiting for a Hawker Typhoon, a ME 110 and a P-61

..and a P-39, Do-17 or 217 and a German Storch. And if you have some time, the cute little and most fastest plane of WWII...the ME-163 Komet.

Re: Any info on 2007 releases ?

I had heard a rumor about this back in the late summer / early fall and forgot about it till I just read the post. I did a little searching and found this.

I wonder how this will affect things?

Franklin Mint Purchased By Private Investors

Tuesday, October 17, 2006
PHILADELPHIA — The Franklin Mint has been sold to a group of private investors.
The mint that makes figurines, commemorative plates and jewelry was once the world's largest maker of collectibles, but it's waging a battle against changing consumer tastes.
The Los Angeles-based Roll International Corporation has sold the mint to a group led by executives from The Morgan Mint in Hicksville, New York.
Among the new investors is Hollywood producer David Salzman.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
Morgan Mint chairman M. Moshe Malamud says his group reached an agreement with the previous owners, Roll's Stewart and Lynda Resnick, last year. The sale closed August 31st.

Well what you know it sounds like it is true after all.
They sure did keep it low profile.
I think i might just buy a few more planes since this
Happened.
Never know what might happen next .

Re: Any info on 2007 releases ?

Thanks for the intel Ronnie -- perhaps another price spike is coming... remember how prices soared after CDC changeover to FM? Though maybe this one is so low profile that it will not impact us at all... Still, not a bad idea JP as prices on this line are at an all time low right now.

During the CDC aquisition we collectors went a bit nuts -- I picked up a Doolittle B-25 for the Bargain price of $125 (I got 25 of that refunded as the model had some issues... a torn decal and loose wing. Higher price, lower quality... egad!)
