FM B- bomber issues

I'm thinking about purchasing one of either the B-17, B-24, B-25 or the B-26. Not having seen any of these before in person, how "prone" are each of these in regards to QC issues. From the pics that I saw, the B-17 has gaps near the nose area. How about the rest of these planes?

Thanks

Re: FM B- bomber issues

I have both Doolittle bombers and i think they are the best ones that FM makes.
I also have the B-26 Flak Bait and it's not to bad either.

Re: FM B- bomber issues

I had the Bit O Lace B-17 but got rid of it because the engine cowlings were shaped wrong. It just made the plane look weird to me. Also, the gaps can be really bad in the cock pit area. I also have the Night Mission B-24 and kept it because its actually not too bad. Kinda reminds me of the old Monogram 1/48 kits when I was a kid.

Re: FM B- bomber issues

I got the B-17, B-25 and B-26.

My recommendation is the B-25. B-17 is fair and the B-26 is okay.

Cheers,

Thumbs up Re: FM B- bomber issues

I've got these four and like them all a lot. If I had to rank them in order, I'd have to go with B17, B26, B24, then B25. The only issue I had was with the B17. The first one I looked at the store had a wide seem through the nose art. I had them get another one out for me, and it looked perfect. I'd be more apt to purchase this one at a store instead of on-line just because of this issue. I got all of mine (along with the He-111 before the price increase.
