Re: Rare Franklin Mint Spitfire Mk1

Do you have some additional info on the P-51D? A pic would be fine, too!

AA
The plane is John D. Landers' "Big Beautiful Doll" in 1:48 scale and I think it looks better than the Spit. The main wheels fold up nicely so you can display it in the in-flight mode. Sorry I can't do pics. I need a new camera and then I've got to learn how to post my pictures on this forum.

Thanks for the info!

I always wondered how much it was.

Would it be possible for you to post a scan of the ad?

Cheers,
AA

Re: Rare Franklin Mint Spitfire Mk1

Okay guys, I apologize for my scanner is no longer functioning much to my chagrin! So, I just took a snapshot of the ad. I know it will be a little hard to read
the fine print so here is what it says, verbatim:

"I need send no payment now. I will be billed for a deposit of $30 prior to
shipment and for the balance, after shipment, in four (4) equal monthly
installments of $30 each."

The ad came from the Aviation Heritage magazine, September 1991 issue. The 1/96th scale B-17 from another issue has the same payment terms similar
to the 'blurb' typed above.
