Question Collection Armour - What do you expect for 2008?

Hi folks,

I was just wondering what do you expect Franklin Mint - Collection Armour to release in 2008?

Personally I think we are going to see the following:

- one or two F-22s with an up-to-date paintjob (27th Fighter Squadron and / or 94th Fighter Squadron)

- something new, big and special in 1/48 (SR-71 maybe, but I'd love to see a F-111, too)

- several LE 1000 models such as the F4U-1A Corsair "Black Sheep" Signature Limited Edition and P-51C Mustang "Berlin Express" Signature Limited Edition

- localized and limited releases (such as the F-4 Phantom JG 74 Mölders for the german market or the CF-18 Hornet "Maple Leaf" for the canadian market

- re-releases of retired models (with slight differences such as drop-tanks and so on - prime example is the F-4 Wild Weasel)

Well i would like to see a more up to date F-22 with the FF tail code and hope they paint inside the cockpit this time.
Would not mind seeing a F4E Phantom with the JV tail code AF57 551 it also has the tigershark mouth on it as well
with 1 Mig kill.
A new tooling of a P-61 Blackwidow would be really sweet too.

Re: Collection Armour - What do you expect for 2008?

Based on what CLLCTR5 posts from a while back, I guessed SR-71 and he didn't deny it. Doesn't mean it's certain, but that's my best guess. If it's well done, that's going to be an awesome model.

What I'd like to see could make up a pretty long list, but I sure hope for an FF or AK tail-coded F-22 (without bombs under the wings please, and yes, paint the inside of the cockpit this time, you lazy bums...). I 'm also guessing a two-seat Mirage III based on the fact that their single-seat mould appears to actually be based on that possible conversion (which makes it horrible as a single-seater, but it may make an acceptable two-seater).

I'd like to see a Hawker Typhoon and/or Tempest, and yes, the P-61, but here I'm still hoping EI does that one some day, so...

And finally, yes on the MiG-21, and a YaK-3 or 9. Russian planes are just about non-existant in 1/48 (except the FM MiG-29). A MiG-25 would be awesome as well.

Ara1 I think I am going to be with you on this one, but maybe we will be surprised.

I find it best to be a pessimist...That way I'm seldom disappointed, and occasionally I'm pleasantly surprised..
