Re: Collection Armour - What do you expect for 2008?

Any news or rumors on 2008 models ? It's October and need to figure out what I (I mean my wife) will be buying for the Holidays
Thanks

Don't hold your breath . We didn't find out their new aircraft for 2007 till the third week of January. Their new catalog didn't come out till March. They also do a pretty good job of keeping them secret till the they're ready for them to be let out. Mhackl fron Onmark usually gets the info first and passes it along to us when they give him the OK.

Re: Collection Armour - What do you expect for 2008?

Hi just read the news on themotorpool:

"The all-new 2008 catalogue is expected to become available sometime in December, and is certain to be filled to the brim with lots of new warbirds slated for a 2008 release."

Now that's something I am looking forward to!

We'll see what they have to offer--- hopefully they've been plugged into this forum and have taken note as to what the core collector is looking for regarding subject matter and quality of both research and construction/finishing.

Re: Collection Armour - What do you expect for 2008?

Only a decent Mirage IIIB,BE or D could really reconciliate FM and I.

But I could also reconsider my attitude if they come with a F8E, FJ4 Fury, F86D/K or H, or F100...

The actual version has got no canards and the french belly !! no so good ! ...

looking forward to check out the new catalogue for new Hornet versions !!
Anybody a clue what we can expect in 2008, except the 3 canadian Show Birds?
thx, cheers

Hm, I hope it will be way better than the current one! I am addicted to buying FM/A but that Mirage makes me barf!

I heard they are going to do one version of each of the current molds.

Oh, oh! Another 3 CF-18s? Any intel on which ones?

I whole-heartedly agree with you on some decent Mirage III variants, but sadly FM/Armour doesn't quite grasp the idea of making mold corrections on that
particular combat a/c just yet.

I wish Franklin Mint would take note of the cockpit area of the photo of the F-22. Color please.
