Re: Collection Armour - What do you expect for 2008?

I expect to be disappointed. Like this year.

Yep, this year sure was not a banner year for them. But they've done better in the past, we'll see, I'm still hoping. But anyways, unlike several years ago at least now I have other brands to look forward to in 1/48, like C1, EI, and HM, so if FM lets me down, there's still hope somewhere else.

Re: Collection Armour - What do you expect for 2008?

i did see a WIldcat from them, and it looked pretty good. I think that they got the paint right. I am not sure about the rivest, but there are a good bit of them on there. I do give them a ton of credit for doing a new model though. Bring on the A-20, P-61, and PBY.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Collection Armour - What do you expect for 2008?

Hey guys,

Here's what disappointed me this year.

Forcing a premium retail price via strong arm tactics.

Offering a GREAT He 111 model in poor or inaccurate and/or undesirable schemes/markings.

Releasing that jewel of an F-13 (Early Junkers utility plane) in a very limited market (READ: no hope for me getting one).

I own 10 diecasts, 9 of which are Franklin Mint. I love those models. My anger stems from the points above.

I really hope they come out with a ME-110 or JU-88.

Re: Collection Armour - What do you expect for 2008?

If they do come out with a Bf 110, they should look into new ways of applying camouflage. Franklin Mint is good at splinter and hard-edge cammos, but aren't so great with mottling, splotches, feathering, or fine wavy lines...

Thank you for the offer AA. Realistically I don't think I'd make an overseas diecast purchase in 1/48, but I appreciate your stepping up and offering.

Ha, way to go Skunky!

AA: Same here... - I just hope whatever Armour does (under it's "new" leadership), I hope the attention to detail is much better than it's been in the past! Personally, I'd like to see more of the "serious" Vietnam-era jets such as a great A-4 Skyhawk - perhaps the "TA-4J" dual-seater; along with that, how about an A-7D or E Corsair II?? Then, how about the long-standing & ubiquitious T-37/A-37 Cessna jet trainer/attack plane? Last, but certainly not least, how about the great F-8 Crusader?? We've got Phantoms up the kazoo - where's everything else?? - John
