| new photos, but they won't post!
Last edited by John Youngs : 10-23-2007 at 08:55 AM.
Reason: clarification on a small point...
I'm so friggin' mad right now - I've got a bunch of new photos of the Australian B11B584 Black Panther Sabre to post, but they won't post at all - dunno what's going on, but this is making me mad as %@&@% right now!!! They're all large-format shots (around 1 meg. each in size) - how do you "shrink" 'em down? I'm about to give up on this!! - JY

| Re: new photos, but they won't post! John, Are you using the "upload a new image" button?? If so, are the pics in Jpeg format?? I have noticed that trying to upload pics in any other format such as bitmap doesn't always work.. Also, you can use microsoft paint (standard on most computers) to resize your pics if you think that is the issue.. Just go into paint, then use the "stretch/skew" command to resize the pic. Hope this helps.. | |||||||||||||

hworth18 - Thanks - it looks like I'm gonna have to do that - apparently the software this forum uses won't allow pix's above a certain size! - JY

| Re: new photos, but they won't post! I only use photobucket and it works great. One of the guys on the UK forum (maybe Agent) put out a very friendly user post on how to use it. I'll look it up and post the link to his thread if you're interested. I'm pretty sure it automatically re-sizes the photo's for you (but I'm not positive). Found it, here it is. http://forums.diecast-aviation.eu/sh...posting+photos | |||||||||||||

Aeroeng - Many thanks - I "discovered" that Microsoft photo software that came with WindowsXP has a reduction feature - you simply tell it in percentages how far you either want it reduced or enlarged and click on the little "button" & bingo! It reduces (or enlarges) the shot. When you save it, a little window pops up and asks you if you wanna save it separately or replace the existing file. I went from 2,800 (+/-) kb's down to around 800 (+/-) or so, using this software I had, but never had used before. - JY
