Re: B11E369 Dassault Mirage IIIS SAF

Does FM provide a plug for that ugly exposed hole behind the front wheel well?

I don't think so. They haven't on past models. They are usually a little recessed where someone could fill them if they want. Seems like they could easily put plugs in. I always thought Corgi should provide a big plug for that ugly exposed stand hole on the bottom of all their aircraft. I guess the manufacturers don't realize we display a lot of our aircraft on glass shelves with the landing gear down where you can look up at the underside. Corgi gives you optional position landing gear but nothing to cover the stand hole when not using the stand . Anyway, I have to say I've never really been upset by any of the small screw heads or stand holes on the lower surface of the aircraft. I'd probably make things look worse trying to fill them than just leaving them as is. Look at the bottom of Hobby Masters A-10 and you'll make sure you have all the weapons pylons installed (large slots).

That deformed spine is far more troublesome than that little screw at the bottom. I can't believe you'd worry about that little detail when the basic shape of the aircraft is just plain wrong... At least the screw hole can be plugged easily with some putty and paint (not that I'd bother with doing that myself).

Oh... believe me the profile does bother me and I do not plan to get this one; I was just wondering if FM/A was stepping up its standard a bit with these new releases (e.g. providing plugs like C1).

Oh, OK. It would be nice indeed to have plugs for these holes. Shouldn't cost much to implement...

Smile Re: B11E369 Dassault Mirage IIIS SAF

I dont know about the shape, too me from different angles it looks ok, and I got two of these now, different markings, Only paid $35.00, for that price its a lot of good looking plane and for most casual collectors and novices that I show these two, they love em as do I.

Just a great looking fit and finish too me, and the price I got. Should sell them with the job issues right now, but I am trying to hold on to most of my collection.
