Well, yes and no. As Armour Addict pointed out, NOT mucking it up would have been a crime in Germany. which this model was supposed to be destined for according to the number on the box. The mistake was sending a "made for Germany" model to a US customer.

Hi FVD,

I know what you mean. My point is, I wish FM would simply feature a blank tail as opposed to placing a ficticious marking there.

You're right, that would be better. Then you could apply a decal yourself if you want (or paint it with an appropriate mask). The task is made much more difficult by their applying that stupid insignia.

Thumbs up Re: B11E198 Heinkel He-111 KG.53

I'll have to check out Mark Twain.

DIM usually has a good selection and will order anything you want if he doesn't have it, but he goes with MSRP, so usually no deals to be had. However, there will be a decent sale every now and then.

Hi TopHat,
I went to DIM today and that's a great shop. Lots of aircraft on display. The owner (Greg I think) was super cool and we talked for quite a while. Thanks for letting me know about them.

Re: B11E198 Heinkel He-111 KG.53

Does anyone know which variant He-111 this model represents?
