Yeah that was taken during my time with the 4077th MASH.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Your FM/A collections - Which one's you own?

OK, here's my Franklin Mint collection.

Lufthansa Ju 52. Very, very nice prewar model w/ spatted gear. Grade A
B-25 Seven Oh Seven. Balances properly but just. Looks great. Grade B.
FAA Hellcat. A beautiful model in British colors. Grade A.
Ju 87G Rudel's tankbuster. Nice, a bit small in scale. Grade B+
B-24 Coastal Command. Impressive, massive, well built. Grade B+
C-47 The Argonia. Just love it! Grade B+
P-40 Cleopatra III. Dubious green color, some fit and finish issues. Grade C.
Mosquito Cookie Bomber. The canopy is a bit high. Grade C+.

Overall I love my Franklin Mint planes.

Re: Your FM/A collections - Which one's you own?

In order of preference I would rate my 1/48 FM Armour as follows:
  1. P47 Thunderbolt, Eagleston (Very Good/excellent)
  2. FW190, "Quax" Schnorrer (snow camo.) (CDC - Very Good)
  3. Me 262, Galland (Very Good)
  4. FW190 Red 13, Heinz Bar (Very Good)
  5. French (tri-camo) Hurricane (Very Good)
  6. Swiss B17 (Very Good)
  7. P38 Lightning de Saint-Exupery (Good)
  8. P51D Mustang, Old Crow (Average, short landing gear 'skirts' detract from model)
  9. Mosquito, French Indochina (Average)
  10. Spitfire, Douglas Bader (Average)
  11. Bf109G, Hartmann (Okay, but not their finest hour)

One sheep to rule them all ...

Re: Your FM/A collections - Which one's you own?

Oh, I forgot to add the FM Huey to the list -- the "top of the line" LE one, not the regular release... it's really nice, though I can't imagine paying $150 or more for it (got it for $30 on the bay )

Lousy packaging, great model...
