Re: F-16 Usaf Thunderbird 1:48

Though why we don't have a ton of companies doing them in 1/72 I'll never know---it's such an obvious choice and would sell well to EVERYBODY.

A whole set of the USAF Thunderbirds and US Navy Blue Angels in 1:72nd be cool....But i don't think that is going to happen anytime soon.

Unhappy Re: F-16 Usaf Thunderbird 1:48

I did get one and i don't like it There is only one decal on there and it's the top Yellow back.
Around the canopy the decals are always chipping off.
In a years time more keeps coming off too.
So what did i do... i took the decal off and i'll airbrush the Yellow back part during the summer when the weather is warmer.
It looks good right now the way it is but it still needs the yellow back on it.

Mine has some slight chipping too. When I put it out on permanent display I'm going to have my wife touch it up with matching paint. I showed the store owner that all three of his were chipping around the canopy and they took them off the shelf and returned them. This was about two years ago, I noticed they had some in about six months ago and they were all good.

I think the reason it chipped off in the first place was that the canopy edges were a little rough and that's what started it.
Then one thing led to another...All the chipping happened around the canopy.
I got this back in 2005 i think it was maybe the new releases are better now on them.
