Franklin 1/100th scale picture thread

Unfortunately, I sold most of my 100th scale Franklin pieces, so I can't contribute much. I've recognized that lately some have been asking for aircraft from HM and the like that were produced in this series.

I really enjoyed this product line and thought it would be nice to document it's existence.

I only have three 1/100 Armour/FM birds. This is the closest I've got to a nice Mirage III.

How come Armour got the smaller Mirage shape right and FM didn't on a larger scale?

Red face Re: Franklin 1/100th scale picture thread

I just got a batch in comprising a Tornado, a Top Gun A-4 and F-5, and the F-21 Lion - I'll post soon. Also just won a VF-84 Phantom off eBay. 1/72 is the chosen scale, but these 1/100s are just great for my office, and for the lower shelves so kids can touch without fear of too much breakage. :P

Had to get the li'l buggers in from the UK, as there's basically nowhere I can find 'em on this continent anymore... Unless someone can point me to a reasonably priced F-4 with a chin-mounted Vulcan - the last Phantom variant I don't have at any scale, unless the VF-84 is one such plane (the pics aren't conclusive).

Other 100s in my collection:

VFA-113 Stingers Hornet (I hate the stickers - peeling everywhere)
#56 Top Gun desert camo Hornet
Top Gun Falcon

Virginia Marie P-38
VF-84 Tomcat
Strike Eagle
SEAD-equipped Falcon

Re: Franklin 1/100th scale picture thread

I don't have any solo pictures, but I have:

ART5042 F-4E Phantom USAF MiG Killer, 68-0493, 34 TFS, Korat RTAFB. “SJ” tail
ART5459 F-4 Phantom USAF Wild Weasel, 52nd Tactical Fighter Wing. ffice:smarttags" />lace w:st="on">Germanylace> 1985 “SP” tail

And the newer one:
ME11E275 F-4E USAF "Mig Killer", 34th TFS - 388 TFW, Capt. Richard Coe, Vietnam War 1972, JJ Tail.

These are really great planes. I know the stands are backwards, but I like the angle better.

Re: Franklin 1/100th scale picture thread

THOSE are the ones I'm after. Anyone know a supplier? I know the newer ones were being sold in retail not too long ago, but...

That's the one thing I really hated were the earlier stands where the planes always looked as though they were a nano-second from impact with the ground...I turned them backwards too, but it looks awkward....That's what kept me from accumulating very many of them.
